King David, known as the beloved and a man after God’s own heart, was the same David who defeated Goliath when thousands of Israelites, including King Saul, were too frightened to face the giant. He authored Psalm 23 and other psalms that encourage us to follow and trust in the Lord. During his reign as the king of Israel, David remained undefeated in every battle because the Lord was with him. He is also from whom the lineage of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, descended.

However, this mighty man of God also committed a grave sin with Bathsheba, another man’s wife. When she became pregnant, David attempted to cover up his sin but ultimately could not, leading to him having her husband killed. Although God forgave him, David still had to face the consequences of his actions (2 Samuel chapters 11 and 12).

Some argue that David committed this sin due to his inability to control his desires, while others suggest different reasons. What does the Bible say about this clearly?

2 Samuel 11:1: “IN THE spring, when kings go forth to battle, David sent Joab with his servants and all Israel, and they ravaged the Ammonites’ country and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.”

“That was the time of battle when David remained in Jerusalem. David wasn’t old enough to not go there. If David hadn’t chosen to stay in Jerusalem and go to battle, he would have avoided that temptation and the trap that the devil had planned for him.”

Some good people face tragic accidents and incidents that overturn their lives forever. This is not supposed to be happening with them; it has happened because they are supposed to be in church every Sunday. where they are not.

“Some women say, I am so faithful to my husband, but he has an extramarital relationship. This should not be done to me; why this? Because you shouldn’t be in the right relationship with the Lord that you should have. This is why this is happening.

When you don’t avoid prayer time, church timing, fellowship timing, fasting time, and the fighting time with the devil, ultimately you avoid the temptation and plans that the devil has prepared for you.
“As a Christian, if you are supposed to be somewhere and you are not, you attract the devil’s temptation and get trapped by it.”ok
