“The people around you can be the cause of a great miracle, or they can be the cause of great sin.”
Whenever one sins, God doesn’t stop anyone, but there’s a big Price he has to pay, the consequences he has to bear.
The Bible states about King David in 2 Samuel 11:2-4
2 Samuel 11:2
[2]One evening David arose from his couch and was walking on the roof of the king’s house when from there he saw a woman bathing, and she was very lovely to behold
David sent an inquiry about the woman. One said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
And David sent messengers and took her. And she came into him, and he lay with her, or she was purified from her uncleanness. Then she returned to her house.
“David sent messengers or might be a servant to get that woman.
“These messengers could have stopped the king by a great abomination in the eyes of the lord by simply saying, Your Highness, forgive us if we disrespected you, we didn’t try to teach you, but the Ten Commandments say that you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife( Exodus 20:17). Leave this married woman, I could bring you a single, more beautiful woman than her.
These words could have led King David to get into deep thinking, he wouldn’t have committed this sin
After committing this, David’s elder son Ammon raped her sister Tamar. Due to this rape, Tamar’s brother Absalom killed Ammon. King David’s own son, Absalom, rebelled against him. He had to run away. The entire family had to face the consequences of King David’s sin with Bathsheba
On the other hand, a commander of the Syrian army, Naman, was a leper.
He was testified by the small servant Israelite girl that Prophet Elisha can heal you from this disease.
He came to Israel, but the prophet didn’t come out to visit him but sent a message to wash seven times in the river of Jordan
But Naman was offended, though his servant convinced him to obey.
The people around David didn’t stop him from sinning, while the people around Commander Naman convinced him to get the greatest miracle of his life.
*I suggest you leave the Friend circle that persuades you to bad habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol.
*”Let go of all people who have brought down your confidence in Christ.
* Let go of all the people who stop you from carrying the cross.
*Let go of all people who decline the level of your anointing; for example, you pray and read the Bible filled with the presence of the lord; after that, you meet a guy who tells of filthy things, and you lose the presence of the lord and start feeling empty.
* I encourage you to pray for your surroundings to always find godly people who increase your faith and confidence and always pray for family members you can’t let go of.
