The Bible says in Proverbs 15:22:
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed (New International Version).
Everyone needs counsel or advice to make effective plans. In this world, from an ordinary man to the president, everyone needs counsel.
I remembered when I was about to take admission in university; before the admission counseling session took place that I missed, I decided to take a two-year degree. After two years, I realized I did make a mistake; I should have taken a four-year degree course, which is what would have happened if I had attended the counseling session.
Big millionaires hire financial or marketing advisors to avoid wrong decisions that affect their business.
Isaiah 9:6:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
This is a prophecy for Jesus that he would be a mighty or Wonderful Counselor.
The word used for counselor is “yaats,” which means to resolve.
To resolve the conflict, doubts, or problems, or find a solution to the problem.
Many people take counsel from friends, family members, or some educated, experienced, or older people.
But we never go to the Wonderful Counselor, Jesus Christ. King David had fought many fights, and every time the Spirit of the Lord gave him different advice, he received victory (2 Samuel 5:22-25). Even Christians rely more on people’s advice rather than Jesus’ advice, but how should we take his advice?
I remembered a woman who asked me whether she should do an online trading course, which was quite expensive, and later she started selling the product online.
As a pastor and God’s messenger, sometimes God himself guides us, but in this case, I advised her to go to the Wonderful Counselor, Jesus Christ, maintain a daily fellowship with him, and tell him about your plans, leaving your plans in the mighty hands of God. Don’t pressure him for an immediate answer.
The Bible says that those who truly fear and obey God, he will reveal his secret plans to them (Psalm 25:14).
Fearing not lying, not stealing, not watching nudity; if it comes, just swipe it away.
Obeying the instructions of the Bible and the Holy Spirit’s instructions automatically attracts the revelation of secret plans and advice for your future.
